Nation Media Group's Spark TV has finally bowed down to pressure and rebranded its popular 'Live wire' entertainment and gossip show to 'Live Wire Season 3 Masanyalaze Ku Solido' as it gears for its relaunch in March 2021.
This follows a lengthy period of time when the 'Live wire' gossip show has been off the air after its suspension by the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) late last year.
The development followed Spark TV 's deliberate ignorance to the regulator's directive to have it rescheduled.
The commission, late last year wrote to 11 TV stations thereby directing them to reschedule their adult-themed programmes from evening hours to between 10pm to 5am.
However, while other stations complied with the directive, Spark TV turned it down as it insisted that 'Live Wire' wasn't culpable to do any breach, and went ahead to air the program as scheduled.
Spark TV will be once again airing the uncensored and unfiltered 'Live Wire' gossip show having satisfactorily demonstrated that the programme has been appropriately scheduled as per the previously passed UCC directive.
The reloaded, energetic with vibe new 'Live Wire Season 3 Masanyalaze Ku Solido' gossip show will be airing once again on Spark TV in March with a yet to be identified new host who will making her first appearance as a replacement of Gabriella Bridget Ntaate who resigned from the station months ago.
