Last night, viscious fire broke out at Bilal Islamic School in Bwaise and gutted dormitories of students leading to losses of valuable property for hundreds of students and burning down nearby structures.
According to the Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy Police Spokesman Luke Owoyesigyire, he said that the fire started when the students were attending preps and no one was injured but a lot of property was destroyed.
The Headmaster of Bilal Secondary school Sheikh Muhammed Kamoga has confirmed the accident, and reassured the parents and stakeholders that no student has been hurt but however said property of students have been burnt.
The fire at Bilal Islamic S.S located in Bwaise in Kawempe Division, comes after recent reports that the school has registered a surge in student enrollment.
Its reported that Bilal Islamic Secondary School Bwaise in Kawempe Division student turn up numbers for the new term was very high which had overwhelmed both the parents and school management.
