Erias Lukwago Swears in as the New FDC Deputy President Central Region

Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago has promised to change the face of FDC during his tenure as the Deputy President in charge of Central region while swearing in, replacing Joyce Nabbosa Ssebugwawo.

Joyce Nabbosa Ssebugwawo who was appointed by Museveni as the Minister of State for ICT.

Speaking shortly after his swearing-in at the party offices in Najjanakumbi, Lukwago thanked the party for the tole they have entrusted him with and pledged to ‘leave his mark.’

I promise to serve to the best of my abilities and capacity, I treasure the mission and vision of the party. I respect all the members who have put the party where it is, I promise to make my humble contribution to elevate this party” Lukwago said.

Lukwago said that the principles of FDC will be his guiding tool and that he has confidence that he will be able to achieve a lot with FDC.

The Lord Mayor joined FDC during the run-up to the recently held elections in July 2020 from DP following disagreements.

FDC party president Patrick Oboi Amuriat said that Lukwago’s appointment gives the party a fresh start as they are now complete.
