Gomba adds Nasser Lukwago to their squad, Anticipate to win the 5th time

Four time champions Gomba Lions are much determined to clinch a record fifth title as they have greatly embarked on recruiting experienced players with defende Lukwaga nasser the latest recruit.

Born to Badru Ssali and Sarah Naggadya, Lukwago is greatly talented and experienced having played the last three seasons at Buddu Saza team. The signing joins new recruits like like creative midfielder Lubinga Bashir who joined the side on 2nd June 2020. The other new recruits include; Ponsiano Ssegonja, Hussein Senoga,Ibrahim Kasinde,Sharif “Di Maria” Nsereko, Derrick Emmanuel “Mannone” Were among others.

On signing for the side, Gomba Lions ran to their Facebook timeline to post: “A big fish harvested at Gomba. Welcome NASSER LUKWAGO from our good neighbors (Buddu)”.

Nasser Lukwago becomes the second signing to join Gomba from Buddu in this trasfer market following the signing of Walugembe Raymond who was also at Buwekula in 2018.

The 2020 Airtel Masaza Cup tournament will be the 16th edition to be staged and according to the organisers the tournament will kick off immediately after the COVID -19 lock down is lifted.Gomba are four time champions and remains the record winners; winning in 2014, 2009, 2014 and 2018.
