Giovanni Kiyingi drops feel-good ‘Kama Dudu’ animated visuals.

Multi-instrumentalist Ugandan folk singer and songwriter Giovanni Kremer Kiyingi is back with a brand new feel-good track dubbed Kama Dudu since the release of his ‘Amakondere’ album in 2016.

The skillful instrumentalist’s track is a mid-tempo and uplifting jam where Kiyingi sings sweetly in Swahili and English passing on good vibes of no stress on whatever is happening around the world.

" Kama Dudu is a Swahili word meaning (like an insect). My interpretation of the song is good vibes I would wish for the world and the community I am in now, Let not the situation facing the world now strain you. Get up Dance share good minds, peace, love, food, and water the way you would want to be done."- Giovanni commented about the song.

Listening to the song, Kiyingi calls upon everyone to get up and dance, share good minds, peace, love, food, and water the way you would want to be done. Kama Dudu is a track under his soon to be released 4 song EP titled ‘Chengi’. To many, he is a new act, yet for those interested in modern folklore, he has been doing music for the last 10 years but he has been mainly a festival and academic artist who has performed at several festivals across the global.

He is widely known for playing local Ugandan instruments like the fiddle (endingidi), akogo, adungu, guitar, harmonica, flute, djembe, calabash, congas, drums, and maracas, among others.

One of the events he is mostly remebered to have performed at was when he was chosen as one of the Ugandan artists to welcome Pope Francis to Uganda at Kololo on 27 November 2015.

Kama Dudu’s animated humorous visuals were produced by THOS3THATKNOW whereas the audio was produced by EKA Music.
