The eagerly awaited Nyege Nyege Afro-Galactic Carnival is set to start this Thursday, November 14th, running for 3 days till November 17th at Jinja Golf Course. Known for its energetic, diverse lineup and vibrant atmosphere, the festival will feature seven unique stages showcasing top-tier artists and DJs from Uganda, the continent, and beyond.

Festival Lineup and Highlights

This year’s lineup features over 200 Ugandan acts alongside international stars. Nigeria’s Chocolate City will bring some of its most exciting talents, including Major AJ, Tar1q, and Candy Bleakz, who will join renowned Ugandan artists like Elijah Kitaka, Pia Pounds, Recho Rey, Zex Bilangilangi, Kenneth Mugabi, and Suuna Ben. Rising local talents such as Tai Dai, Mwami, Denesi, and Aliddeki Brian will also make appearances.

Each stage will offer a different experience:

  • Main Stage – Hosting the biggest acts of the weekend
  • Hakuna Kulala Stage – Dedicated to progressive sounds and emerging talents
  • Dark Star Stage – Spotlighting underground talent
  • Reggae Stage – Featuring reggae and dancehall vibes
  • Spirit of Uganda Stage – Celebrating Uganda’s local culture
  • Ubuntu Stage – A space for cultural unity and diverse performances

Uganda’s DJ scene will be represented by top names like DJ Ssese, DJ VansS, Kampire, R3igndrops, Janja Deejay, Hibotep, Melvyn DeeJay, DJ Ali Breezy, and DJ VXFaisal.

Tickets are still available, with various options for both local and international attendees:

  • Pre-Sale: 250,000 UGX for East African residents and $150 for international guests
  • Weekend Pass: 200,000 UGX for locals and $180 for international guests
  • Four-Day Pass at the Gate: 300,000 UGX for locals and $200 for international guests
  • Single-Day Passes: Friday is 130,000 UGX for locals and $80 for international attendees, while Saturday is priced at 150,000 UGX for locals and $100 for internationals
