Leon Island singer Papa Cidy came out as homosexual, but what shocked many was his direct mention of Pastor Robert Kayanja, the lead Pastor of Miracle Center Cathedral who has severely been linked to Homosexuality for the past few years.

The revelation, made on social media, left many Ugandans shocked, as Papa Cidy, real name Hamidu Sekyeru, hinted at deeper ties involving the influential pastor.

In his post, Papa Cidy expressed that he was tired of hiding his true identity, adding the cryptic phrase, Pastor Kayanja ebyaffe obimanyi,” which translates to “Pastor Kayanja, you know our issues.”

The statement has fueled widespread speculation about the nature of the connection between the artist and the Miracle Centre Cathedral leader, leading many to wonder if more revelations are forthcoming.

Pastor Robert Kayanja is a well-known figure in Uganda’s Pentecostal community, with a public stance firmly against LGBTQ+ activities, reflecting the country’s conservative views. Given his reputation and influence, Papa Cidy’s mention of him has raised serious questions about the pastor’s involvement and what exactly the singer’s cryptic message might be referring to.

Meanwhile, sources suggest that Leon Island boss, Dr. Jose Chameleone, has been trying to calm the storm behind the scenes. Reports indicate that Chameleone has been on the phone with Papa Cidy, urging him not to reveal further details that could potentially implicate other high-profile figures, including himself.

As the story unfolds, the mention of Pastor Kayanja has thrown Uganda’s delicate discourse on LGBTQ+ rights into the spotlight, leaving many anticipating further developments.
