Singer and Kakuuto County MP Geoffrey Lutaaya has opened up about endless rumors of him chewing media personality Faridah Nakazibwe and fathering her child as speculations have been making rounds on social media for over a week.
Lutaaya, who is happily married to fellow singer Irene Namatovu, has brushed off the rumors as mere TikTok shenanigans. However, as the speculation continued to gain traction and spark online debates, he decided it was time to address the situation head-on.
In a passionate video response, Lutaaya took to social media to urge the rumor mongers to put an end to the “cheap talk” that’s tarnishing the reputations of all involved parties. He highlighted that the spread of such unfounded claims not only disrespects him and Nakazibwe but also his wife and their families.
"I initially thought this was just some light-hearted content created for laughs on TikTok," Lutaaya said in the video. "But it's now gone too far, with debates and questions coming in from all corners. We are respectable individuals with families, and this kind of talk does nothing but harm."
Lutaaya made it clear that while he had initially ignored the gossip, the ongoing rumors have become a serious issue. He is now calling for an immediate halt to the speculation, emphasizing that if the rumors persist, he will take further action.
"Let’s stop joking around. We are all brands here—me, Faridah Nakazibwe, and Irene Namatovu. If this continues to escalate, I won’t hesitate to respond firmly. Please, let’s keep this kind of talk out of the public eye," Lutaaya concluded.
