Renowned singer and astute businessman, Ykee Benda, also known as Wycliff Tugume, has stepped into a new spotlight as a Director at Golden High School in Nsagu, taking on a new and bigger venture.
Breaking the news with flair and rhythm across his social media platforms this Tuesday afternoon, Ykee Benda joyously shared his induction into the esteemed position at the school nestled in the heart of Nsagu, Kajjansi.
"On Christmas Day afternoon in Nsagu village, Kajjansi, Wakiso district, I was introduced as one of the new directors of GOLDEN HIGH SCHOOL NSAGU," exclaimed the artist.
Excitement rippled through Ykee Benda's words as he unveiled the school's vision to embrace an integrated creative and performing arts curriculum. In a commendable gesture, the institution is set to provide 500 bursaries to underprivileged students within the Kajjansi community.
Ykee Benda, a proud Chemical Engineering alumnus from Algeria with a first-class degree earned in 2015, expressed his heartfelt commitment to nurturing students' talents and preparing them for the dynamic challenges of the outside world.
"As we all know today, you need more than a degree, you need to be practical, you need to have talent (we all do), you need confidence. This is something that's very dear to me as a Chemical Engineer myself who went for music as a career choice," Ykee Benda passionately declared.
