Following alot of prayers and anticipation, many Ugandans believed that Edrisa Musuuza aka Eddy Kenzo was going to win the Grammy Award and bring it back home but unfortunately, it went to South Africa as their wn Zakes Bantwini won it instead.
The 65th Grammy Awarding ceremony was held over the weekend and a number of A-listers went home with their prestigious accolades of appreciation.
Held on 05th February 2023, the colorful ceremony was held in Los Angeles Crypto.com Arena USA.
Eddy Kenzo was nominated as Best Global Music Performance category with Nigeria’s Burna Boy, Ghana’s Rocky Dawuni, and Pakistan’s Arooj Aftabin and South Africa’s Wouter Kellerman, Zakes Bantwini, and Nomcebo Zikode emerged winners.
Having been nominated in the Best Global Music Performance category for his feature on Matt B’s song ‘Gimme Love‘, Eddy Kenzo touched down in the USA on 1st February ahead of the awarding ceremony.
