Celebrated Ugandan songstress Namukwaya Hajara Diana, popularly known as Spice Diana, has sent the “corridors of power” and entertainment circles into panic following cryptic remarks regarding her potential entry into active politics.

The Siri Regular hitmaker addressed the mounting speculation on Sunday, March 15, during a high-profile charity activation in Makindye Salaama. While distributing supplies and engaging with the community, a local resident pointedly asked if the singer had plans to represent them in a formal political capacity.

Rather than a flat denial, Spice Diana offered a measured, open-ended response that has since gone viral.

“When the time is right, I will come to you,” she told the cheering crowd, acknowledging that while her name isn’t on a ballot today, the door is far from closed.

Despite the excitement among her supporters, sources close to the singer’s camp and recent reports suggest that a transition to Parliament is not imminent. For now, the “Star Girl” is reportedly doubling down on her music career and her extensive humanitarian work.

Industry analysts note that while Spice Diana has a long history of endorsing political candidates and mobilizing the youth, this marks the first time she has publicly entertained the idea of her own candidacy.

Spice Diana’s comments come at a time when the line between the Ugandan arts scene and the political arena continues to blur. Following in the footsteps of artists-turned-politicians like Bobi Wine, Hilderman, Nina Roz and Rachel Magoola, Spice Diana possesses the massive “people power” and grassroots connection that make her a formidable potential contender.
