Legendary actor and Ebonies boss Dr Bbosa is officially off the market! The stage king, real name Sam Bagenda, today got introduced by his longtime fiancée Penny in a private Kukyala ceremony that went down at her parents’ home.
The ceremony was intimate but far from dull – close friends and relatives turned up in big numbers, flooding Penny’s family compound to celebrate the couple’s love. Word coming in shows the party is still going on as we speak.
Kukyala is the first big cultural step where a man meets his woman’s parents to seek blessings before the heavier ceremonies like kwanjula and wedding. So yes, Dr Bbosa has ticked stage one!
This is a huge moment for the veteran actor, who has entertained Ugandans for decades with the Ebonies and iconic TV roles like That’s Life Mwattu. Earlier this year, the celebrated thespian marked 40 years in the industry with a massive career launch – and now, life is giving him another big milestone off stage.
