Ugandan teenage rap sensation Felista Di Superstar has joined the country in mourning the tragic death of Rajiv Ruparelia, the Managing Director of Ruparelia Group and son to billionaire Sudhir Ruparelia who offered her a fully paid bursary.
Taking to her social media platforms, Felista poured out her grief, writing:
“I can’t believe that Papa Rajiv Ruparelia you have gone just like that 😢😢😢😢 If it is wrong news please someone come out and tell us. Rest in peace Papa.”
Felista’s connection to Rajiv was deeply personal. A few years ago, he generously awarded her a fully paid bursary to study at Kampala Parents School, one of the elite institutions under the Ruparelia Group umbrella. That kind gesture helped shape her educational journey while she pursued her musical dreams.

The 35-year-old businessman tragically died in the early hours of Saturday, May 3, 2025, after a horrific car crash at the Busabala Flyover in Makindye-Ssabagabo, Wakiso District. According to police spokesperson Luke Oweyesigyire, Rajiv was driving a white Nissan GTR (UAT 638L) when he reportedly collided with temporary pavement barriers set up at a roundabout on the flyover. The vehicle overturned and burst into flames, killing him instantly.
“We have been informed that the driver was Rajiv Ruparelia. He died at the scene. Investigations are ongoing,” police confirmed.
Rajiv’s passing has left a void in both Uganda’s business scene and philanthropic circles. He was widely admired for his visionary leadership, humility, and passion for youth empowerment—values he demonstrated through actions like supporting young talents such as Felista.
