Alliance Française Kampala together with Talent Africa Group have announced the upcoming Bridges & Beats concert scheduled for March 28, 2026 at Kingdom Kampala as part of activities marking Francophonie Month.

The event forms part of the global celebrations that highlight the French language and the cultural diversity of the Francophone world, leading up to International Francophonie Day on March 20. Francophonie Month brings together more than 300 million French speakers globally and promotes shared values such as peace, democracy and human rights.

According to organisers, the 2026 theme “Activating your Francophonie” encourages communities to explore and engage with French culture through music, art, language and cultural exchange.

The Bridges & Beats concert will blend Afro-soul, acoustic fusion, folk and experimental sounds, bringing together Ugandan musicians and Francophone performers for a unique cross-cultural showcase.

Among the artists expected to perform are Elijah Kitaka, Sandar Nansambu, Ssewa Ssewa, Professor Joewi alongside DJs DJ Rocky and DJ Valet. The lineup will also feature Tracy Melon, Sheillah Salta, Blackqueen, Aliddeki Brian, the Impudu Cultural Group from Rwanda and the Royal Drums troupe.

Organisers say the concert will also showcase traditional Ugandan dance, local crafts and cuisine, offering guests an immersive cultural experience. Poetry, storytelling and presentations will be delivered in both French and local languages to celebrate linguistic diversity.

Community participation will also be a key highlight, with schools and universities expected to take part through workshops, performances and cultural displays.

Tickets are already available online via tagticketing.com. Bronze tickets will cost UGX 30,000 at the gate, while Silver VIP seats will go for UGX 60,000. Early bird tickets for both categories are priced at UGX 50,000.

The event is supported by Talent Africa Group, Alliance Française Kampala, Kingdom Kampala, TotalEnergies and Ruparelia Group, with organisers saying the concert will celebrate the rich blend of Francophone and Ugandan cultural traditions through music, food and art.
