Ugandan singer Ronald Magada, known by stage name Maro, is recovering from a harrowing car accident that occurred over the Easter holidays, leaving him in Coma and some of his close friends critically injured in Zambia.
According to sources close to the singer, Maro was traveling with three companions en route to an Easter event when tragedy struck.
The car they were in was completely wrecked in the crash as seen in some of the pictures that have since then been shared allover social media.
The wife of one of his friends — suffered a cracked spinal cord and had to be airlifted to hospital for urgent medical attention.
“He’s okay, but he’s still coming to terms with what happened,” a close aide confirmed via phone. “He witnessed a lot and is still very disturbed by it.”
The source also addressed rumors that had begun circulating online, claiming that Maro had slipped into a coma. These were completely false, with the singer currently stable and cooperating with authorities regarding the vehicle involved in the accident.
At the moment, the focus remains on the recovery of the injured.
