Veteran singer and outspoken TV host Jennifer Full Figure officially met with officials from the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) following the recent suspension of her Salt TV show “Omusunsuzi” and begged for forgiveness.

In a statement released by UCC Executive Director Nyombi Thembo, Full Figure together with representatives from Salt Media visited the commission’s offices and agreed to follow broadcasting regulations moving forward.

The two parties reportedly reached an understanding that Salt Media will offer professional training to its presenters and production team, to ensure future compliance with broadcasting standards.

Full Figure also revealed she’s ready to enroll for formal media training to improve her professionalism and ensure her content meets Uganda’s communication ethics.

“I applaud Salt Media and the programme host for their teamwork, which is essential for encouraging responsible and ethical content. With the backing of UCC, we can develop a media environment that represents Uganda’s values and promotes trustworthy, respectful communication,” said Hon. Nyombi Thembo.

It should be remembered that in September, UCC suspended Salt TV’s “Omusunsuzi” show, hosted by Full Figure and Charles James Ssenkubuge, over claims that the programme aired abusive content and unprofessional language.

UCC further noted that the show aired during morning hours when children are likely to be watching, exposing them to unsuitable material.

The development comes just weeks after Full Figure made headlines for clashing with fellow singer Catherine Kusasira at a political rally, once again proving that the former People Power diehard-turned-NRM loyalist never stays out of the spotlight for long.
