Next Media presenter Brian Macona has revealed that he is struggling to use public transport after surviving the August 2026 accident that claimed the lives of his friends and workmates, Badru Kasirye and Isaac Nadamagye.
In a video shared on TikTok, Macona said several boda boda riders had refused to carry him because they believed he was dead, following false reports about his death that circulated on social media.
He revealed that he had been left stranded by four different riders who feared they were being asked to transport a ghost.
“I have been left stranded after four different boda boda riders refused to ride me on their bikes. They find me and say that I am dead, and they fear transporting a ghost. Please, I am not dead. I am very alive,” he said.
Macona appealed to boda boda riders to stop turning him away, explaining that he is still recovering and has not yet been cleared to drive again. He added that surviving the crash was a second chance at life given to him by God.
