Police in Kampala have launched investigations into a violent altercation involving YouTuber Shalom Kaweesi and singer Derrick Biswanka, with both parties accusing each other in separate cases after video going viral.
According to Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Racheal Kawala, the incident has resulted in two related reports filed at different police stations.
Kaweesi first reported a case of assault at Najjera Police Station, accusing Biswanka of attacking him during the confrontation.
In a twist, Biswanka also opened a case against Kaweesi at Kessington Police Station in Kyanja, accusing him of simple robbery.
The robbery claim stems from allegations by Biswanka’s driver, who says Kaweesi assaulted him and took his car keys during the altercation.

She added that once investigations are complete, the case files will be forwarded to the state prosecutor for legal guidance on the next course of action.
