Ugandan talent is out here doing the most on the global stage, and YangJ Sound, a Sweden-based singer just dropped the visuals for his latest track “Far Away” — and let’s just say, he hasn’t disappointed.
Born Samuel Naminya Egesa in Kampala, YangJ Sound has been quietly building a name for himself in Scandinavia with his mix of Afrobeat, Afro Zouk, Dancehall, and R&B Pop. If you’ve heard songs like “Nakakawa” or “Nambi,” then you already know the man’s pen game is solid and his vibe is unmatched.
Now he’s back with “Far Away,” a love ballad that will hit different if you’ve ever fallen for someone across oceans and time zones. The song was written by YangJ himself (yes, he writes too — multitalented king), and produced by Uganda’s own Artin Pro.
But it’s the video that’s got people talking. Directed by Michael Lebanc of IF Productionsab, this visual is a cinematic piece of art. The color grading is chef’s kiss, the shots are clean, and YangJ brings all the emotional heat with that performance. This man didn’t just sing about heartbreak, he acted it.

The storyline? Classic but effective — love, separation, longing, and the kind of distance that makes you stare out of windows while dramatic music plays.
“Far Away” is already picking up steam on streaming platforms and climbing charts in both Sweden and Uganda. The video? It’s only going to push things higher.
