Fresh information reaching Blizz Uganda news desk indicates that former radio personality and Uganda North American Association (UNAA) vice chairperson, Charles Bukenya Muvawala, was reportedly abducted again by unknown individuals.<\/p>\n
According to preliminary details, Muvawala was allegedly taken by force and driven to an undisclosed location, sparking renewed concern among his associates and supporters. By press time, his whereabouts were still unclear.<\/p>\n
The incident comes just days after heightened political activity in the city, with opposition figures raising alarm over what they describe as increasing arrests of their supporters.<\/p>\n
In a social media post, National Unity Platform (NUP) leader Robert Kyagulanyi, alias Bobi Wine, claimed that Muvawala was \u201cviolently arrested\u201d<\/em> following a visit to Bulange earlier this week. Kyagulanyi alleged that security personnel targeted Muvawala for reportedly recording soldiers as they allegedly brutalised supporters.<\/p>\n \u201cHe is being held at Nateete Police Station alongside 42 other comrades,\u201d<\/em> Kyagulanyi wrote, further claiming that close to 600 opposition supporters have been arrested since campaigns began. He described the arrests as illegal and politically motivated.<\/p>\n Security agencies are yet to issue an official statement clarifying Muvawala\u2019s arrest status or current location.
