Singer Spice Diana has come out to show support for her longtime friend and events promoter Biggie Events, who was recently jailed over an unpaid loan of UGX 70 million.<\/p>\n
Speaking in a YouTube interview, Spice Diana said she was deeply saddened by the news, revealing that Biggie wasn\u2019t just a business associate but a personal friend who had always checked on her during tough times.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cWhen I saw the news on social media, I tried to reach her immediately but couldn\u2019t \u2014 she had already been taken to jail,\u201d Spice said. \u201cI feel sorry for her. She\u2019s a hardworking woman who tried to start something for herself, but things went bad. She didn\u2019t steal from anyone, it\u2019s just loans and bad business. I pray God helps her out.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
Biggie Events, one of the country\u2019s top female promoters, was sent to Luzira Prison, where she\u2019s expected to serve at least six months unless she clears the debt.<\/p>\n
Spice Diana also revealed she plans to visit Biggie in prison and even contribute financially to help settle the loan.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI saw they want 70 million. That\u2019s why I want to visit her and see what we can do. I call upon all her industry friends to stand with her. Loans are bad \u2014 we all survive on them while trying to build something. I\u2019ll do what I can to help her, even if she didn\u2019t ask,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
Fans online have since praised Spice for her empathy, with many urging other musicians and promoters to come together and help Biggie regain her freedom.<\/p>\n
