Songstress Nina Roz has come out warning her former label Black Market Records to keep their hands off her unreleased songs if they want peace.<\/em><\/h6>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The Billboard Kipande<\/em> singer took to social media to air her frustration after learning that the label might be planning to drop music she recorded while still signed under them\u2014without her greenlight.<\/p>\n

Nina, who was once one of the faces of Black Market’s Ugandan roster, worked on multiple projects while under the label, but not all of them saw the light of day. Since officially parting ways with BMR, she’s been doing the independent artist hustle\u2014moving with a lean team, booking her own shows, dropping her own content, and basically rebuilding her brand brick by brick.<\/p>\n

But now it seems the ghosts of her label past are trying to catch a ride on her comeback wave.<\/p>\n

\u201cRespectfully, my contract with Black Market Records officially ended, and I retain full rights over my unreleased music. Any further release without my consent is unauthorized,\u201d<\/em> Nina Roz wrote. \u201cI value my art, and I will not allow anyone to misuse or profit off my work without agreement.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

She didn\u2019t mince words either\u2014calling out what she described as \u201cselfish people\u201d trying to exploit her talent and sweat. Word on the street is, she\u2019s ready to take legal action if the label doesn\u2019t back off.<\/p>\n

Fans are already rallying behind her, with many saying it\u2019s high time Ugandan artists started owning their masters and protecting their content from record label bullies.<\/p>\n
