Nyege Nyege Festival is back! And this year, they\u2019re coming with fire\u2014literally. The 2025 edition, dubbed Ekigunda Ky\u2019Omuliro (The Gathering of the Flame), is officially set for November 20 to 23 at Kalagala Falls in Kayunga District and here’s what to expect.<\/em><\/h6>\n<\/blockquote>\n

If you thought Nyege Nyege had peaked, think again. This is the 10th anniversary, and the madness is being dialed to 300. Actually, more than 300 artists are already confirmed to shut down six stages, all happening in one of the most breathtaking (and spiritually loaded) riverbanks in Uganda.<\/p>\n

From what we know, Kalagala Falls is not just scenic\u2014it\u2019s sacred. So imagine being surrounded by ancestral trees, fresh Nile breeze, waterfalls in the background, and somebody from Congo or Colombia playing a weirdly sexy drum set while people in fishnets dance under lasers. Welcome to Nyege Nyege 2025.<\/p>\n

This festival has evolved from a wild underground link-up into a proper international movement, linking African creatives, DJs, dancers, and dreamers from Kampala to S\u00e3o Paulo to Paris. But it hasn\u2019t lost its madness or its edge. It\u2019s still the only place you\u2019ll find a herbalist selling charm oils right next to a guy spinning industrial techno.<\/p>\n

The venue, Adrift Overland Camp, is basically an open-air rave palace with panoramic views and built-in bungee jumping. Yes, you can literally throw yourself off a cliff then go twerk in the same hour. The vibe is that unserious and that divine. And if you\u2019re the type who wants more than just music, Nyege Nyege is also coming with a solid lineup of fashion shows, African films, food experiments, and even safari packages via Sauti Safari for those who want to see gorillas after seeing God on the dancefloor.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s edition also includes a fashion-focused takeover called Kwetu Kwanza and a full-on film experience curated by the Matatu Film Stage. Everything from visual art to African sci-fi is expected to show up on screen.<\/p>\n

Basically, if you\u2019re into culture, vibes, or just chaos\u2014you\u2019ll find it there. Talent Africa Group is running the production, so you already know it\u2019s going to be professionally organized but still have enough room for people to lose their minds. And in a new twist, Nyege Nyege has partnered with TRACE Africa to give early bird ticket holders six months of free TRACE+ streaming access, including exclusive behind-the-scenes festival content, artist interviews, and curated playlists.<\/p>\n

Organisers have promised this is the start of a new decade for Nyege Nyege and not just a celebration of the last one. Kalagala is now home base, and they\u2019re committing to plant even deeper cultural roots in the area\u2014working with local communities and custodians to make sure the festival respects the sacredness of the space. Environmental stewardship and cultural responsibility are part of the long-term plan, which is low-key impressive considering most people go there to wine and blackout.<\/p>\n
