Ugandan music royalty Juliana Kanyomozi<\/strong> has heaped praise on Bebe Cool\u2019s<\/strong> upcoming album, Break the Chains, calling it \u201cthe best a Ugandan album has ever sounded\u201d after getting a first listen ahead of its official release on Friday, May 30<\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The album has already sparked controversy \u2014 mostly for Bebe\u2019s bold shift in musical direction. Since the drop of its two early singles, “Circumference”<\/strong> and “Motivation”<\/strong>, fans and critics alike have been excited. Now, with just days to the official release, Juliana\u2019s endorsement may be the final push the project needs to cement its moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a video shared by Bebe Cool, Juliana, who attended an exclusive listening session, couldn\u2019t hide her admiration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s an honor to be invited to listen to this album. Bebe and I have grown together in this industry\u2026 and what excites me about this new sound is how different he sounds. He\u2019s so versatile \u2014 it\u2019s something I truly admire,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

She went on to credit Bebe Cool\u2019s evolution to years of resilience and hard work, calling his current musical maturity a well-earned achievement. Juliana also shared that she’d been hearing of private listening sessions and was delighted when the call to attend hers finally came through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhen you hear this album, it\u2019s a different Bebe Cool. You hear growth<\/strong>. He sounds like someone who wants to inspire fellow artists<\/strong>. This is the first time<\/strong> we are hearing a Ugandan album sound this good<\/strong> \u2014 it sounds truly international<\/strong>,\u201d she emphasized.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Juliana revealed that her favorite song on the album is a track titled “Home”<\/strong>, which according to an inside source, features lush strings and musical depth courtesy of celebrated Ugandan guitarist and composer Myko Ouma<\/strong>. With a catchy pop vibe and dynamic production, Home<\/em> is already being compared to Bebe\u2019s 2014 hit “Love You Everyday”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Break the Chains<\/em> has been in the works for months, and its lead single Circumference<\/em>, produced by Nigerian heavyweight Philkeys<\/strong>, has stirred strong reactions across Africa since its December 13, 2024<\/strong> release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
