Media personality Canary Mugume and his wife Sasha Ferguson broke up almost 1 year ago but things have now taken a bitter twist as Sasha publicly spills all bitter family secrets to explain why she chose to end the marriage.
For weeks, Sasha has been dropping cryptic hints on social media small jabs, emotional reflections, and messages about “choosing peace” sparking heavy speculation that her marriage was falling apart. Today, she finally put the rumours to rest and laid everything bare.
Posting through her socials, Sasha revealed she had been “fed up with being silent,” saying close friends had been pressuring her not to expose Canary’s behaviour because it would “damage his image.” But according to her, the silence had become unbearable.
She opened up about facing domestic violence in the marriage, explaining that she had been forced to hide bruises with makeup just to maintain a peaceful façade in public. At some point, she says she realised she was losing herself.
Sasha says she eventually made the decision to leave and take full custody of their two sons, choosing to prioritise the safety and peace of her children. She asked the public to stop tagging or mentioning Canary on her posts so she can co-parent and heal without unnecessary drama.
She added that the two are now on “different journeys,” and she is doing her best to play both the mother and father roles for her boys. Despite everything, she asked Ugandans not to judge Canary harshly, reminding followers that he is human and “no one is a saint from heaven.”
Her revelation comes just days after addressing rumours about the paternity of her son, where she firmly stated that Canary is the father of all her children and that no DNA tests had ever been done.
