The Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) has today suspended Salt Television’s morning show “Omusunsuzi” by singer Full Figure alongside veteran actor Charles James Ssenkubuge after accusing it of breaching broadcasting guidelines.
The program, which runs on weekdays from 6:00 am to 8:00 am, is hosted by singer Full Figure alongside veteran actor Charles James Ssenkubuge. According to UCC, the show has repeatedly featured abusive language and unprofessional conduct by the presenters.
In its statement, the regulator noted that the broadcasts air during morning hours when children are most likely to be watching, making the content unsuitable for the time slot.
UCC has since directed Salt TV to:
- Immediately suspend the program.
- Provide written responses to the complaints received.
- Submit recordings of episodes aired between August 1 and September 12, 2025.
- Submit scripts of the show for review.
Salt TV has until Friday, September 19, 2025, to comply with the directive.
The commission reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring broadcasters uphold professional standards and protecting the public from harmful or offensive content.
