Ugandan TikTok creator Timothy Kayanja, better known as Jayden, is fighting for his life after being rushed to TMR International Hospital in critical condition just a week after launching his fundraising campaign.
The young entertainer has been battling sickle cell anemia since childhood, but things took a heartbreaking turn when he was recently diagnosed with aplastic anemia, a rare illness that stops the bone marrow from producing blood.
Doctors gave him a strict three-month window to undergo a bone marrow transplant, or he risks losing his life. The procedure will be done at Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi, where specialists will handle the tests, consultations and donor search.
The bill is overwhelming KES 2.5M to 6M (around UGX 80M–200M). Jayden and his family can’t carry that burden alone, which is why an urgent appeal has been launched to save him. A GoFundMe page is already up, and he has also shared a DFCU Bank account for well-wishers willing to stand with him:
