Employees were left with mini-heart attacks after armed robbers hit the Stabex Petrol Station in Namakome, along Bombo Road in Wakiso District, where they assaulted the workers, stole petty cash and failed to break the main safe.
According to a video clip making rounds on social media that has since gone viral, a woman in a red sweater is seen struggling with the thieves as a man, grabbed phones and items off the table before another came in to slap her.
The thieves reportedly left empty-handed from the safe they couldn’t breach. No serious injuries occurred, though questions swirl about absent armed guards and the woman’s calm demeanor, fueling inside-job speculation online.
Footage shows possible rifles, sparking outrage over insecurity and unverified claims linking robbers to nearby military barracks, as police and UPDF stay silent amid calls for swift action.
