Rajiv, the only son of Sudhir and Jyotsna, was a dynamic businessman and philanthropist. As Managing Director of the Ruparelia Group, he played a pivotal role in expanding the conglomerate’s influence across Uganda and beyond. Under his leadership, the group ventured into diverse sectors, including real estate, education, hospitality, and agriculture, significantly contributing to Uganda’s economic growth
Beyond his business acumen, Rajiv was deeply committed to philanthropy. Through the Ruparelia Foundation, he directed over UGX 35 billion (approximately USD 9.5 million) to various causes, including disaster relief, sports development, and wildlife conservation. His flagship initiative, the Talent Scholarship Programme, awarded over 3,000 scholarships to underprivileged students, empowering them to pursue higher education.
