Singer Spice Diana has come out to show support for her longtime friend and events promoter Biggie Events, who was recently jailed over an unpaid loan of UGX 70 million.

Speaking in a YouTube interview, Spice Diana said she was deeply saddened by the news, revealing that Biggie wasn’t just a business associate but a personal friend who had always checked on her during tough times.

“When I saw the news on social media, I tried to reach her immediately but couldn’t — she had already been taken to jail,” Spice said. “I feel sorry for her. She’s a hardworking woman who tried to start something for herself, but things went bad. She didn’t steal from anyone, it’s just loans and bad business. I pray God helps her out.”

Biggie Events, one of the country’s top female promoters, was sent to Luzira Prison, where she’s expected to serve at least six months unless she clears the debt.

Spice Diana also revealed she plans to visit Biggie in prison and even contribute financially to help settle the loan.

“I saw they want 70 million. That’s why I want to visit her and see what we can do. I call upon all her industry friends to stand with her. Loans are bad — we all survive on them while trying to build something. I’ll do what I can to help her, even if she didn’t ask,” she added.

Fans online have since praised Spice for her empathy, with many urging other musicians and promoters to come together and help Biggie regain her freedom.
