Ugandan comedy star Patrick ‘Salvado’ Idringi has finally opened up about the heartbreak and dramatic moments he faced while trying to win over the love of his life — Daphne Franstock, she lied she was sick but later found her dancing in a club.
In an interview with Allan Cruz, Salvado shared how, at the height of his love-struck phase, Daphne once told him she was sick and couldn’t meet him. Naturally, being the gentleman he is (and deeply in love), he offered to go check on her and even suggested taking her to the hospital.
But to his surprise, Daphne kept turning down his offer, leaving him confused and worried. Feeling helpless, Salvado leaned on his boys Alex Muhangi and Daniel Omara, who convinced him to step out and clear his mind at a local club.
And that’s where the real plot twist hit.
“The moment I entered, guess who I saw? Daphne… on the dance floor, grooving like she’d just won a lottery,” Salvado recalled, his voice heavy with emotion.
Heartbroken and stunned, he watched the woman he thought was bedridden living her best life on the dance floor. And to make it worse, she completely ignored him, like he wasn’t even there!
After that night, the two stopped talking. But fate wasn’t done with them. They later reconnected on Facebook, sparked things up again — and well, the rest is comedy, love, and history.
Today, Salvado and Daphne are happily married with beautiful children.
