The Uganda gospel industry is in high gear after King of Radio Wesley officially launching the 4th edition of the Royal Gospel Music Awards slated for next week, 12th December at the Imperial Royale Hotel as they launch the brand new Royal Gospel Music App.

Speaking to the press, King Wesley, popularly branded as the Godfather of Gospel Music in Uganda, confirmed that the awards and the app are part of a long-term mission to push gospel creatives into a new digital era.

He also spoke passionately about uplifting artists, insisting that the new app isn’t just another platform but a game changer, giving artists total control over their music distribution, instant monetization, real-time earnings tracking, and a central space for fans to stream and support authentic African gospel music.

The Royal Gospel Music Awards 2025 are officially set for 12th December 2025 at Imperial Royal Hotel, and as expected, the Christian entertainment fraternity is already warming up for the big night.

The awards will shine a spotlight on top ministers, choirs, producers, worship leaders, media personalities, and rising stars shaping the gospel industry across East Africa. Word reaching our desk suggests new categories will also be introduced to reward digital growth, impact, and ministry influence.

Wesley didn’t hold back as he shared his continental vision, saying the 2025 launch is not just another ceremony but a movement aimed at transforming gospel creatives across Africa.

“What we are building is bigger than music. We are building an ecosystem that supports, empowers, and transforms the livelihoods of gospel artists across Africa, God has given us a mandate to elevate creatives, and this innovation will change the story of gospel music forever,” Wesley revealed.
