Chaos broke out in Nakifuma–Naggalama Town Council after Mukono RDC Hajjat Fatumah Ndisaba Nabitaka ordered the immediate closure of Cream Field Vocational Secondary School, after 15 Senior Four students missed their UCE exams because the school never registered them!
The RDC stormed the school on Monday morning after the heartbreaking incident came to light, students had turned up in full uniform, ready to write their exams, only to find their names missing from the UNEB register. Parents cried uncontrollably, some even collapsing in disbelief as the reality sunk in.
According to reports, the school’s director Medi Senfuka, who was supposed to handle registration, vanished into hiding after the truth came out. RDC Ndisaba didn’t mince her words — she called it “gross irresponsibility” and ordered everyone to pack up and leave the premises.
“All students must go back home. This school is not fit to continue operating,” she said furiously.
Nakifuma County MP Fred Simbwa Kaggwa tried to plead with UNEB Executive Director Daniel Odongo to help the stranded students, but UNEB confirmed that no registration or payments were ever made. “It’s heartbreaking. The children came prepared, but they were betrayed,” Hon. Simbwa said.
The saga deepened when Deputy RDC Moses Muyambi revealed that the same runaway director also owns Happy Hills Primary School and things there were even worse! Pupils were found sharing mattresses, hygiene was poor, and some of the so-called “teachers” were unqualified.
Mayor Isa Nvule didn’t hold back either he blasted fake school owners exploiting parents.
“We can’t allow people to play with the future of our children,” he said.
Police in Mukono District have now launched a manhunt for Medi Senfuka, who is still on the run as investigations continue.
