Nakunda Beth Kayesu was born more than 30 years ago and she has been a resident of Wakiso district for all her time she has lived. And that alone, she has been in the leadership structures especially for the ruling NRM party for some time.
Education Background
She attained her education like any other Ugandan that would go to school and attended a total of 4 schools from primary to the highest level she attained. She is someone who loves education, a trait that forced her to open up an education center in Wakiso district.
Political Path
Nakunda Beth Kayesu started her political journey more than 10 years ago and she has been in the NRM party structures leading women, taking on village leadership until her current stand as the Wakiso District NRM Woman Member of Parliament flag bearer.
She is the current Chairperson of Kirinda cell, Busabala ward, Masajja Division in Makindye Ssabagabo Municipality, Wakiso district. And she is the Chairperson Women’s League Wakiso district where all the 720 villages are under her watch.
More to that is that, she serves as the Chairperson Women’s Council on LC2 level in Busabala ward. And she is the flag bearer Kirinda cell in the NRM structures.
Philanthropy Work
Nakunda Beth Kayesu started a TUITION FREE institute called Kayesu Foundation located in Masajja Division that skilled more than 600 youths, women and men in skills like crafting, hairdressing, tailoring, catering and more.
It should be known that, this foundation was offering free services until it went defunct during COVID-19 times where she ran out of management funds and other factors.
This was not only teaching the youths skills, but also teaching them how to be responsible Ugandans and being patriotic and loving their country.
Through her roles in Women’s Council, she has vehemently advocated for women and youths empowerment and she is set to introduce more projects that will help the youths and women mostly to learn self reliance and working for themselves.
