Pastor Aloysious Bujjingo, the founder of House of Prayer Ministries International, has issued a serious plea to the public to help save his Christian television station, Salt TV, from being scrapped off air cause of USD 60,000.

Speaking during a live church service in Kitagya, Jinja District, Bujjingo revealed that the station is on the brink of securing a spot on DStv, but is still short of the required USD 60,000 needed to finalize the deal with MultiChoice Uganda.

The pastor, whose station is known for broadcasting spiritual teachings, Christian content, and community outreach programs, urged viewers, supporters, and the business community to rally behind the cause. “Governments have limitations,” Bujjingo said, “but faith-driven missions depend on the generosity and action of believers.”

He emphasized that Salt TV’s continued presence on air is crucial for reaching and uplifting both local and regional audiences with hope-filled, transformative programming.

Bujjingo listed various ways people can contribute, including mobile money and bank transfers, and noted that several local church leaders have already pledged to mobilize funds within their congregations.

As the deadline to seal the DStv partnership fast approaches, the pressure is mounting—and so is public interest.

Whether this appeal will secure Salt TV’s place on the satellite platform remains to be seen soon.
