NRG Radio unveiled the first-ever Halftime Show set to take place at the ASFAs Honorary Gala on 19th December 2025 at the Kampala Serena Hotel where top musicians will be performing.
This will bring in a huge shift in the ASFAs experience, making it the first fashion awards event in Africa to introduce a dedicated mid-show entertainment performance.
NRG Radio’s Head of Brand, Barbra Lynda, told journalists that this is part of redefining how fashion, music and youth culture merge at premium events.
“NRG is proud to be part of this new chapter of the ASFAs. Fashion, music and youth culture have always moved together, and the halftime show gives us a chance to bring that connection to life in a way Africa hasn’t seen before, This is our moment to introduce a new wave to the Honorary Gala and showcase one African musician at a level that’s never been done before. Vinka is headlining the first show because her journey, style and cultural impact mirror exactly what this moment needs,” she said.

Although currently out of the country, Vinka sent in a recorded message saying;
“I’m bringing the fire to the ASFAs Honorary Gala this December 19th at the Serena Hotel. I’m headlining the NRG Halftime Show and trust me… this one is going to shake the room, If you thought you’d seen fashion and music come together before… you haven’t seen anything yet.” she declared.
Beyond the Halftime Show reveal, the ASFAs confirmed a star-packed performance lineup featuring Elijah Kitaka, Kevin Kade from Rwanda, Sweden’s Tyra Chantey, Rickman, Karole Kasita, Warafiki, Dance by Valentino, DJ Vee and DJ Harold.
Ciroc, one of the major partners, reaffirmed its long-standing association with the ASFAs through Reserve Brand Ambassador Melanie Abwooli, who also reappointed Brian Ahumuza as Ciroc Ambassador. She emphasized the perfect match between luxury fashion and the brand’s bold, premium identity.
ASFAs Founder Brian Ahumuza reminded guests that tickets are extremely limited, urging early bookings through quicket.co.ug.
The gala will also be streamed globally via Play It Loud, which officially launches on 10th December 2025. According to Shafik Nekambuza, the platform ensures that viewers worldwide can be part of the ASFAs even if they miss out on the restricted ticket allocation.
Set for 19th December 2025 at the Kampala Serena Hotel, this year’s Honorary Gala promises an exclusive, high-luxury fashion showcase featuring top regional and international designers, electrifying music performances and the debut of the NRG ASFA Halftime Show.
Tickets are priced at UGX 250,000 for Ordinary and UGX 8,000,000 for a VVIP table of ten.
