Ugandan hip-hop legends Navio and The Mith have officially unveiled their highly anticipated collaborative album GODLVL, marking a major moment for Uganda’s rap culture and the duo’s long-standing contribution to the industry.

The project was introduced during an exclusive listening party held at Silo 15 in Bugolobi on Sunday evening, bringing together artists, media personalities, industry stakeholders, and dedicated hip-hop fans for a first taste of the 14-track album ahead of its official release.

The intimate event offered attendees a deeper look into the inspiration, creative process, and collaborations that shaped what many are already calling one of the most important Ugandan hip-hop projects of the year.

Throughout the evening, Navio and The Mith reflected on their journey through Uganda’s rap scene, recalling the days of talent shows, rap battles, ciphers, and underground performances that helped build the foundation for modern Ugandan hip-hop.

“Every generation needs reminding where you come from. We came up through talent shows, battles and ciphers, and GODLVL is our way of celebrating that journey while continuing to push the culture forward,” Navio told guests.

The Mith echoed the same sentiment, emphasizing that the album goes beyond music and serves as a tribute to the people, experiences, and communities that helped shape their careers.

“Behind every artist is a story, a family and a community that helped shape them. GODLVL is our way of acknowledging those foundations and paying tribute to the people who made this journey possible,” he said.

The album brings together an impressive lineup of artists from Uganda and across East Africa, including Tanzanian rap heavyweight AY Masta, alongside Vampino, Akeine, Maritza, Izabel UG, JB of Klear Kut, Herbert Ssensamba, Benon Mugumbya, Lukas Blacc, Flex D’Paper, BigTril, and Dagg Mizzo.

One of the standout moments on the project is Sikulimba Remix, a special collaboration featuring legendary Afrigo Band frontman Moses Matovu. The song creates a rare bridge between Uganda’s contemporary hip-hop generation and one of the country’s most celebrated musical institutions.

Several guest artists present at the listening session praised Navio and The Mith for staying authentic to the culture while creating a project built on genuine friendship, trust, and artistic excellence.

Production duties were shared among some of the region’s most respected producers, including Trigganomics, Ethan, Ledra, Timcence, Dagg Mizzo, Mr Mugabi, Josh SB, Kacey, Samurae, and Mio Made It.

The project was recorded across multiple studios, including Talent Africa Group Studios and Icon Studios, highlighting the collaborative effort behind the album’s creation.

Industry insiders also credited Talent Africa Group for supporting the recording process through its studio facilities, further demonstrating the company’s growing involvement in nurturing Uganda’s creative industry beyond concerts and live events.

Scheduled for release on June 19, 2026, GODLVL will be available on all major streaming platforms worldwide.

As the listening party came to a close, one message resonated throughout the room and among everyone who attended: Hip-hop lives forever.

With two of Uganda’s most respected rap pioneers joining forces on a single project, expectations are already sky-high for what could become one of the defining albums in Ugandan hip-hop history.
