Uganda’s music industry has just unlocked a new gem and the future is wearing the face of a 19-year-old hitmaker called Oppe Beats, the producer behind Cindy and Omega’s new song, Pallaso’s Baby Mama, Bugembe’s Tonsobola and many more/

Oppe, real name still being whispered around town, only started production in 2023, but in just two years, he has touched songs that most veteran producers would kill for. Remember Pallaso’s “Baby Mama” and “Bwenkwagala” (yes, the one featuring Chameleone on the beat)? That’s him. Pastor Bugembe’s “Tonsobola”? Him again.

The brains behind Cindy Sanyu and Omega 256’s brand-new jam “See You Tonight” is none other than this young producer, mixer, and mastering engineer who’s already cooking fire hits from Makindye.

His very first project was “Love Nkuba” by Sqoop Larma, but with his talent, you’d think he has been in the game for a whole decade. And guess what? He credits Brian Beats as his biggest inspiration — in fact, you’ll find him most times at Brian Beats Studio in Makindye, where all the magic happens.

When asked about his dreams, the soft-spoken producer says he wants to start his own record label one day and also hopes to work with Buka Chimey and Mr Lee (B2C) soon.

At just 19, Oppe Beats is already rubbing shoulders with the biggest names in the game — and trust us, this is just the beginning.
