Renowned media personality and politician Mary Flavia Namulindwa officially established a technical institute in her home constituency, of Gomba, taking another step in her journey toward public service.
Earlier this year, Flavia returned from the United States to pursue her political ambitions, publicly announcing her intention to contest for the Gomba East Constituency parliamentary seat in the 2026 general elections under the National Unity Platform (NUP) banner.
Just days ago, she joined a host of other aspiring politicians to pick up nomination forms at the NUP headquarters in Kamwokya. Afterward, she traveled to Gomba, where she unveiled one of her flagship initiatives—a technical institute aimed at empowering the youth.
Named Gomba Business and Technical Institute, the facility is located in Kitwe Village, Kanoni Town Council. Its mission is to equip young people with hands-on vocational skills, providing them with opportunities to combat unemployment and improve their livelihoods.
The launch attracted support from big names in the entertainment industry, including Spice Diana and Daxx Kartel Omuyeruba, who showed up in solidarity with Flavia’s vision for her community.
As the 2026 elections draw closer, Namulindwa continues to build momentum with her campaign team as she seeks to secure the parliamentary seat for Gomba East.
