After what has felt like an endless wait peppered with delays, and doubts—Lydia Jazmine has finally released her first-ever full music album titled “The One and Only”, quenching her fans’ thirst after waiting for so long.

Real name Lydia Nabawanuka, Jazmine has fought through industry noise and personal roadblocks to give fans a 15-track masterpiece that’s heavy on vibes, love, and pure star power. The album just dropped today, and already, the streets (and streams) are saying it’s worth the hype.

This isn’t just any album—it’s a buffet of collaborations. From Skales (Nigeria) to Lava Lava (Tanzania) and local OGs like Jose Chameleone, Jackie Chandiru, Elijah Kitaka, Cindy Sanyu, and even a BLU3 reunion on ‘Shutter’—the project screams versatility and ambition.

And let’s talk about the songwriting squad. Lydia called in some of the best in the game: Shena Skies, Esther Nabaasa, Yesse Oman Rafiki, Anko Ronnie, Song Boss, Nick Mulla, and more. Basically, it’s an all-star creative team. On production, we’ve got heavyweights like Nessim, Artin, Bass Boi, Chemical Ali Nicer, Nexo Beats, and Gopa Beatz on the decks. No weak link in sight.

Album Highlights (aka the ones already causing commotion)

  • “On Fire” – already being called a fan favourite.
  • “Right Now” – the soft RnB bop we didn’t know we needed.
  • “Your Ways” ft. Skales – smooth cross-border magic.
  • “Shutter” ft. BLU3 – pure nostalgia and vocal perfection.
  • “Sure” ft. Jose Chameleone – this one’s already trending in East Africa.
  • “I Miss You” ft. Lava Lava – for the lovers and the lonely.

Album Launch Party

She’s planning a private, invite-only launch party this Sunday, July 27—and if you didn’t get an invite, you’ll just have to stalk her socials for highlights. Word is, she’ll be breaking down the stories behind the music at the event.
