Drama went down in Luwero after singer-turned-political mobiliser King Saha told supporters that the Electoral Commission boss, Justice Simon Byabakama, shouldn’t be trusted to deliver timely results in the upcoming January polls as he will carry his own calculator and announce his own win.

Saha, who is currently deep in NUP mobilisation, didn’t mince his words as he revealed that the party has already set up its own parallel tallying system to monitor and announce results independently.

The crowd went wild as Saha insisted that NUP is ready to declare its victory even before the EC if Byabakama fails to release official numbers on time.

“We already bought calculators, We shall tally these votes by ourselves. If Byabakama delays, we shall declare the winners. We are competent enough to collect results from all corners of the country.” Saha said confidently.

His remarks have stirred fresh debate online, with many wondering how the Electoral Commission will react to the growing pressure from opposition groups demanding transparency in the vote-counting process.

Justice Byabakama is yet to respond to Saha’s explosive comments, but the statements have already intensified the political temperature as the country inches closer to polling day.
