Former Sanyuka TV Uncut presenter, Kawalya Isaac Kaiyz, quietly returned to Uganda after nearly two years spent in the United States, sparking immediate speculations about him either being deported or coming back on own terms.
Kaiyz, known for his bold, no-fear interview style and becoming a household name among showbiz followers, left the country at the peak of his career without much publicity. His quiet departure had fueled rumours about whether he would ever return, with himmaintaining a low profile in the US.
While abroad, Kaiyz reportedly took on casual jobs, developed his family life, and maintained a presence through his YouTube channel.
The presenter’s silence upon his arrival at Entebbe Airport has only amplified the curiosity and rumours surrounding his life abroad and the true reason for his return.

- Deportation Hint: Critics and netizens have been quick to hint at a possible deportation, calling for the motor-mouthed personality to clear the air about his sudden comeback.
- Personal Business: Sources close to Kaiyz, however, suggest that his return is solely to sort out “personal business” before returning to the “Donald Trump’s land.”
Despite the intense media interest and the opportunity to address the swirling speculation, Kaiyz has declined all interview requests.
The presenter’s exit in late 2021 was widely reported following a high-profile legal challenge. Along with two other Next Media Services presenters, Kaiyz was charged and remanded to Kitalya Prison over offensive communication and criminal libel after remarks made against an artiste on the Sanyuka TV show.
