President Museveni - Bebe Cool

Bebe Cool isn’t playing small! The Gagamel boss has revealed he’s already splashed $700,000 (over UGX 2.6 billion) on recording his upcoming album “Break The Chains” — and he’s seeking for President Museveni’s support of $2Million for Promotion.

Speaking to the press, the legendary singer made a passionate plea to President Museveni, urging the government to step in and support musicians who are investing heavily in making Uganda shine on the global stage.

“I’ve so far spent $700,000 just to record my new album Break The Chains, and I’ll need $2 million to promote it. President Museveni should support us,” Bebe Cool said.

The highly anticipated album, which is expected to drop this week, has already given fans a taste of what’s coming with the release of two tracks: “Circumference” and “Motivation” — and let’s just say the buzz is real!

With Break The Chains, Bebe Cool says he’s aiming for top-tier sound quality and international reach — the kind of album that puts Ugandan music in conversations around the world.

“With proper promotion and government support, we can take Ugandan music to the next level,” he added.

Whether or not the government writes that big cheque remains to be seen — but Bebe Cool is betting big on Ugandan music.
