Looks like former music manager Ivan Ssozi, better known in entertainment circles as Y Tud, has decided to swap the backroom for the big stage. The man who once handled careers of stars like John Blaq, Bruno K, and even veteran Kabuye Ssemboga is now ready to shine in his own light.

For those who don’t know, Y Tud isn’t entirely new to the microphone. He already tested the waters with songs like “Vibrate & Wyne”, where he showed off his Afrobeat fusion and storytelling vibe.

Born and raised here in Uganda, Tud actually started his music journey way back as part of a boy band that later inspired what grew into Swangz Avenue, one of East Africa’s most respected music labels. So trust the man when he says he has always had this music thing running in his blood.

Fast forward—he’s now based in Melbourne, Australia, and instead of pushing other people to stardom, he wants to become a global star himself. He says this new chapter is all about reinvention and authenticity, plus bringing a fresh perspective after years of watching the industry from the sidelines.

With upcoming releases already lined up, Y Tud is officially telling the world that he’s back in the game, not as a manager—but as the artist himself.
