“I Wanted to Cancel My Album When My Daughter Beata Got Sick and Put in ICU” – Bebe Cool Opens Up

Gagamel boss Bebe Cool, real name Moses Ssali, has shared one of the most terrifying moments of his life — the time his daughter, Beata Ssali, was admitted to the ICU with multiple organ failure and he almost canceled everything.

During the glamorous launch of his long-awaited album “Break The Chains” on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Noni Vie in Kampala, the legendary star paused the excitement to speak from the heart.

He revealed that while in Nigeria working on the album, he received a gut-wrenching message from his wife, Zuena Kirema. Beata had been rushed to hospital and was in critical condition, her organs starting to shut down.

“As I landed in Nigeria, I received messages from Zuena that our daughter was in ICU… organs failing one after the other,” Bebe said, visibly emotional.

Panicked, helpless, and heartbroken, the singer tried to find a flight back home immediately — but none were available for the next 12 to 24 hours. In that moment, Bebe was ready to drop everything, even cancel the entire album.

“I wanted to cancel this same album. I had already paid everything for recording, but I just wanted to come back to my daughter.”

But amid the chaos, something miraculous happened. Within just an hour after reaching out to his networks, seven doctors were mobilized to attend to Beata — and they began working on her condition organ by organ.

“By God’s grace, the doctors managed to stabilize her. And today, here she is — our little beautiful girl, full of life,” Bebe Cool shared as the crowd listened in heartfelt silence.
