Ugandan actor and film producer Hemdee Kiwanuka is flying the flag high in Hollywood with his latest blockbuster film project, The Wrecker, which is set to officially hit cinemas this Halloween, October 31, 2025.

The big-budget action thriller is not just another film as it features a top Hollywood cast that Ugandans usually only see in Netflix trailers. Names like Tyrese Gibson, Harvey Keitel, Danny Trejo, Mena Suvari, and Chad Michael Collins are all on the credits, with rising star Niko Foster taking the lead role.

The story follows Tony (played by Foster), a former Marine dragged back into the battlefield of life after his brother’s mistakes put him on a collision course with a ruthless crime syndicate. Expect gunfire, explosions, and the kind of non-stop action that will keep fans glued from start to finish.

Directed by seasoned filmmaker Art Camacho, the movie also stars Gibson as Detective Boswell, Keitel as crime boss Dante, Suvari as Cheryl, and Trejo as Eduardo.

Behind the scenes, Hemdee Kiwanuka pulled strings with some of the industry’s finest producers—Al Bravo, Mike Pizzimenti, Colin Bates, and Eduard Osipov—to deliver what’s being hyped as one of 2025’s biggest action-packed releases. Distribution is already locked down, with Seismic handling U.S. theaters and Quiver taking on domestic rights.

Speaking about the project, Hemdee said:

“The Wrecker is a bold, action-packed story that combines powerful performances, gripping storytelling, and explosive sequences. It’s a project I am deeply proud of, and we can’t wait for fans to experience it on the big screen this Halloween.”
