Love is clearly in the air for Ugandan singer-songwriter and mental health activist Buka Chimey after his wife, Mabel Namakula aka Empress, poured out her heart in a powerful birthday message that has left fans emotional.
Taking to her socials, Empress didn’t hold back as she described Buka as a “King amongst Kings,” revealing that their love story came after a long season of waiting on God.
“When I was told to wait on God it seemed like forever… the moment I had given up is when God sent me a King amongst Kings,” she wrote.
She went on to praise him as a loving husband and father, saying their home is now filled with joy, peace, laughter, order, and direction thanks to his presence.
“Our children are blessed to have such a structured yet loving father… you have filled our home with love,” she added.
In a deeply spiritual message, Empress also referenced scripture, praying for continued favor upon his life and celebrating their union as divinely orchestrated.
The emotional tribute comes just about a month after the couple made things official with a wedding in Denmark, where they exchanged vows in a beautiful ceremony.
Buka Chimey, known for his openness about love, mental health, and family, has often expressed deep admiration for his wife—and clearly, the feeling is mutual.
