Looks like Galaxy FM/TV is going through another big shake-up. Just after Mr Henrie bowed out, long-serving producer and station voice-over artist Timothy Jjumba Omar, better known as Timo Pon D’Chat, has also announced his departure.

In a video shared on his Instagram, Timo said he was stepping away in good spirits, grateful for the journey that shaped him into the creative he is today.

After a whole good eight years and some months at Galaxy FM and TV, I’m throwing in the towel,” he said. “I leave as a person who is very confident and very happy because of what I have achieved and done. I’ve grown into the person I am right now, and I’m so thankful to everyone I have worked with.”

From being Producer, Head of Production, and the Voice Image of the station, Timo has been part of Galaxy’s identity for almost a decade. He admitted that while the decision wasn’t easy, it was time to chase bigger dreams — with “BBC” being one of his long-time goals.

“I’m a very big dreamer, and I’ve always said, ‘BBC.’ That’s what I dream about, and I want to achieve things that everyone can’t achieve. I am going to explore new heights. I am leaving to be a better person.”

Timo’s exit follows Mr Henrie’s recent farewell, sparking chatter among Bazzinyi about what’s next for the self-proclaimed “Zzina Station.”
