Evelyn Mic (Evelyn Masika), the ever-bubbly events MC and media personality, has officially waved goodbye to Dembe FM after just a five-month run—and the rumor is already screaming NRG Radio Uganda is calling.

She kicked off her stint at Dembe in February 2025, stepping in hot off the heels of a surprise exit from Galaxy FM. That move was just as chaotic: Evelyn revealed she was unceremoniously shown the door, told there was no chemistry with co-hosts on Evening Rush. The station replaced her with Sovaria Hughes, and the drama alone had us hooked

But Evelyn bounced back fast. As Dembe FM relaunched, she took over the Twejewo show—bringing that “miss party time” energy every Thursday evening, making Dembe relevant again in the youth space Journalist outlets even noted her as part of Dembe’s fresh presenter lineup under Nation Media Group’s rebrand push

Today, she confirmed the departure via social media:

“After an incredible journey, I say goodbye to Dembe FM. Grateful for the lessons, laughter, and love shared on and off air. On to the next chapter, with a heart full of gratitude.”

Sources suggest the next stop could in fact be NRG Radio Uganda—though Evelyn hasn’t given an official nod just yet.

If this is truly a transfer, it’s not shocking. Evelyn has never been afraid to pivot—Galaxy to Dembe, and now possibly to NRG—each move seems driven by a bigger vision for growth and relevance.
