Full combat went down in Kisoro District as Ugandan security agencies arrested suspected international criminal Mugisha Keith King, commonly known as “King Keith” on the streets alongside two Nigerian nationals during a high-level intelligence operation.

According to authorities, the operation was triggered by an Interpol alert and several tip-offs from concerned residents over suspicious activities happening in Gasiza Parish, Nyakabande Sub-county.

Ministry of Internal Affairs spokesperson Simon Peter Mundeyi confirmed the arrests, revealing that security agencies are now investigating possible links to international drug trafficking, fraud, and other organized crimes.

Sources say King Keith is no ordinary suspect. Investigators reportedly identified him as a convicted cocaine trafficker who was sentenced in Kenya back in 2010 before allegedly resurfacing with multiple identities and passports from different countries.

Security operatives reportedly discovered that the suspect had been operating through shell companies while using forged documents to impersonate government officials and facilitate suspicious dealings across borders.

During coordinated raids, security teams recovered firearms, military-style camouflage uniforms, fake identification documents, and other materials believed to be connected to criminal operations.

The arrest of the two Nigerian nationals has also intensified investigations, with authorities now working closely with international partners to establish the full extent of the network’s activities.

Residents in Kisoro were left shocked after heavily armed security personnel stormed the area during the operation, with many saying they had long suspected unusual movements around the suspects’ residence.

Ugandan security agencies say investigations are still ongoing as the government continues its crackdown on transnational organized crime and drug trafficking networks operating within the region.
